Erik Meyer

Cathedral Organist

Erik Meyer has been leading music in churches since he was barely a teenager, and is known throughout the region for his multifaceted music career. He has performed hundreds of organ concerts throughout the US and Europe, both solo as well as part of the AE Meyer flute & organ duo. His compositions have won awards from the American Guild of Organists, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, the Presbyterian Association on Musicians, and others; he is also the composer of the new Johns Hopkins University school song (his alma mater). He is keyboardist and composer in residence for Elevate Vocal Arts, adjunct faculty in Music Studies at Temple University, and is always looking for a new instrument to play or style to learn.
