
Ms. Marcia Hinton
Marcia is an executive-level, nonprofit professional. Her expertise spans the range of social media interface, brand identity and design, organizational management, and board development. Demonstrating an unwavering obligation to make the world a better place, she accepted Governor Tom Corbett’s appointment to the Pennsylvania Environmental Justice Advisory Board of the PA Department of Environmental Protection in 2012, where she served until 2015. Marcia is the Executive Director of the Alumnae Association of the Philadelphia High School for Girls and Editor Emerita of the Association newsletter. The association supports the Philadelphia High School for Girls. Founded in 1848, it is the second oldest female-only college preparatory public high school in the nation. Marcia is a dedicated member of the Church of the Holy Apostles and The Mediator, maintaining its social media presence. On the diocesan level, Marcia is the media maven for the Schuylkill Deanery, where she designed and maintains the deanery website. Marcia currently co-chairs the Nominating Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, whose work is dedicated to producing a transparent process for creating a diverse and representative slate for the vote at each Diocesan Convention. Marcia is honored to have been appointed to the Church of the Crucifixion Foundation, envisioning the next hundred years of this historic church.
